We’re all keeping busy this week but today we’re taking the time to acknowledge the amazing work you do.

As you know, we’re having a busy week at Refill. We’re celebrating some of our wonderful partnerships and collaborations to spread the message of World Oceans Day this Friday (8th of June 2018). We’re also celebrating #VolunteersWeek, a time to say thank you for the fantastic contribution you make.

During the week, hundreds of events and celebrations are taking place across the country, saying thank you to volunteers and recognising their invaluable and diverse contribution to the UK. The UK-wide campaign was established in 1984 and is now led by NCVO.

It’s easy to get so busy that we forget to stop and reflect on all the amazing work that’s being done around the Refill movement. Refill wouldn’t be where it is today without you. Whether you’re helping sign up businesses in the app, running a Refill Scheme in your community, or helping out with Refill events. We’re overwhelmed by your goodwill, determination, positivity, resilience and support that we are lucky enough to experience every day.

“We feel incredibly lucky to have so many dynamic and dedicated volunteers all around the country setting up local Refill Schemes and signing up new Refill Stations to the app. Refill is a grassroots movement. It’s fantastic that so many people are giving their time and talents to reduce plastic pollution and benefit their local communities.” — Meriel Harrison, National Coordinator

During this week we want to remind ourselves and you, our volunteers, how grateful we are.

Because of your work we are over the moon to let you know we have reached over 10,000 Refill Stations nationwide. This is a significant milestone for the team.  We see it as a big pay off for the countless hours you put in.

🙏THANK YOU🙏THANK YOU🙏THANK YOU🙏THANK YOU 🙏

Ok, should we get back to protecting the Oceans? 🌏
