Refill Newport and Shropshire
Newport is a small market town on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border. It has a fantastic local community with great schools and one of the Countries top Agricultural universities Harper Adams on our doorstep.
Sustainable Newport
The community has many local groups for all interests ranging from Civic and History societies, others for photography and the arts through to Wildlife trusts and numerous youth groups. We’re also fortunate to have many businesses supporting health and wellbeing as well as a full range of services.
Newport is seeking plastic free community status with Surfers Against Sewage and this has really highlighted the amount of plastic waste we have – including the number of water bottles! We’ve signed up to create the Refill Scheme to help residents find places to refill instead of adding to the plastic pollution and so out of town visitors can also know what venues will allow them to refill.
If you’re looking to start a Refill Scheme, we’ve got a guide to help you get started.
Plastic Free Scheme
This Refill Scheme is currently inactive. We would like to welcome anyone within the area who has an interest in restarting the scheme to contact us with any queries at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you so together we can help your community continue to power the Refill Revolution!
Getting involved is easy!
We’d love more local people to get involved and help spread the message!
