Meet the community Refill Schemes
Get to know who is behind the Scheme, and how these local champions are spreading the word of the Refill Revolution.
Refill Lowestoft
Lowestoft sits proudly in the northernmost part of The Suffolk Coast. As the most easterly town it is the first place to see the sunrise in the UK; and is famous for its southern beaches.
Refill Bicester and Banbury
Both historic market towns have long relationships with the water, from Roman times they have been surrounded by the River Ray, Cherwell and ultimately the River Thames not to mention the Oxfordshire Canal.
Refill Chippenham
Chippenham is a historic market town in northwest Wiltshire, England. The River Avon flowing through the centre of Chippenham forms a physical link between the town and the sea.
Refill Henley on Thames
The river in Henley is extremely important to the locals, for many reasons including the Royal Rowing Regatta which takes place every summer. The river is a massive source of joy to visitors and locals as well as an important habitat to wildlife.
Refill West Oxfordshire
Nestled in the northwest of Oxfordshire and surrounded by rural beauty, the area encompasses market towns like Woodstock and medieval towns such as Burford. Despite being far away from the coast, the scheme is very aware of the connection between local action and global impact.
Refill Bradford on Avon
This historic town nestled in the Avon valley has been a hotspot over the ages from the Romans to the Victorians and is still a popular destination and pit-stop for many a walker, cyclist and countryside explorer.
Refill Cornwall
Cornwall is a county that prides itself for its beautiful coastline and beaches as well as the amazing conservation work that takes place all over the county by a number of different organisations and local marine conservation groups.
Refill St Albans
St Albans wants to be a more sustainable place for residents and visitors. Working with Plastic Free St Albans, the District Council, Affinity Water and the Business Improvement District we plan to get as many businesses as possible on board.
Refill Oxford
Nicknamed as the City of Dreaming Spires, inspired by the well known university, Oxford is known for it’s 38 colleges around the city. But there is a lot more to the bustling city and plastic pollution is high on the agenda.
